Subaru WRX flips on track
Subaru WRX flips on track - Click above to watch the video after the break

Our brothers from the Great White North happened across a video featuring a few extremely evil hay bales. How evil? Really evil. Like so evil that you would say it was E-VEEL, like they are the FRU-ETS of the DEV-EEL.

So evil, in fact, that these compressed bunches of overgrown grass decided to reach out and grab a passing Subaru at Toronto Motorsports Park during a Canadian Sport Compact Series time trial event. See what we mean? E-VEEL.

Apparently, this particular JDM Subaru WRX had been "borrowed" from its owner, who was on vacation. And since you can actually hardly fault the hay bales themselves, we're guessing this driver, who was not seriously injured in the accident, is gonna have some serious 'splaining to do when the Subie's owner gets back home.

Check out the video in all its gruesome glory after the break, but beware of some potentially NSFW language.

Menu wins race one in Hungary

Alain Menu claimed his second World Touring Car Championship race victory of the year, leading from start to finish in race one at the Hungaroring. Menu converted his first pole position since 2009 into the lead at the first corner, with Chevrolet team-mate Yvan Muller's victory chances ruined when he was tapped wide by BMW driver Tom Coronel

Riders still want Motegi cancelled

Jorge Lorenzo believes '99 per cent' of the MotoGP paddock would prefer the 2011 Japanese Grand Prix to be called off, as riders continue to express fears over the radiation risk in the country. The Motegi event was postponed from April to October following the devastating earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan in early March. But it is the potential for radiation from the Fukushima nuclear power station damaged in the disaster that has caused most concern among the MotoGP fraternity.

Nasr tops Rockingham test day one

British Formula 3 championship leader Felipe Nasr set the pace on the first day of a two-day official test at Rockingham today (Tuesday). The Brazilian lapped the Corby 'roval' in a 1m12.687s best, to beat Carlin team-mate Kevin Magnussen to the top spot by 0.143 seconds. Hitech's Pietro Fantin continued his impressive progress this season by setting the third fastest time, just 0.013s shy of Magnussen - winner of two races during the most recent round of the championship at Snetterton last month

Hanninen wins Yalta Rally

Skoda's Juho Hanninen clinched his second Intercontinental Rally Challenge victory of the year on the Yalta Rally in Ukraine after a close battle with Bryan Bouffier. A jump-start penalty on the second of Thursday's pair of very short opening stages had left Hanninen back in 11th starting the first full-length leg on Friday, but he swiftly fell through to second before taking the lead from PH Peugeot's Bryan Bouffier.

Pirelli sure Canada will be a thriller

Pirelli is hopeful that the battle for victory in Canada this weekend will be just as close as it was in Monaco a fortnight ago, even though tyre strategy will be very different this time out. Sebastian Vettel took a hard-earned victory in Monaco on a one-stop strategy - fighting off the best efforts from Fernando Alonso on a two-stop and Jenson Button on a three-stop. However, tyre degradation is expected to be much higher in Montreal - which could make the event a very different kind of race to that witnessed in Monte Carlo.
