Ford Racing, 2011 NSCS Brickyard 400 Post-Race Recaps

Ford RacingMATT KENSETH ? No. 17 Crown Royal Ford Fusion ? IT WAS A GOOD RUN. ?Yeah, we ran really good. We were probably the second-best car most of the day. I think the 24 had the field covered, so I?m happy for Paul Menard being a first-time winner. It?s kind of a shame that...more»

Report: Bentley to debut V8 Continental at Detroit show

2012 Bentley Continental GT

For an automaker with just two model lines, Bentley sure has a lot of room to expand in the coming year or two. With the newly facelifted Continental GT now out on the market, a new Continental GTC drop-top expected to be unveiled in Frankfurt, after which we can expect the next Flying Spur, and then the inevitable Speed variants of each bodystyle.

The Mulsanne is also expected to spawn a new coupe and convertible, and reports of new model lines, including an SUV, have been circulating. But in the middle of all of this expansion, Bentley is preparing to downsize (in a sense).

It's been no secret that Continental range will add a turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine option alongside the 6.0-liter twin-turbo W12 currently on offer. And now comes word that the new mill will drop at January's Detroit Auto Show.

No word on output just yet, but you can expect it to undercut the 567 horsepower of the current twelve by some margin. And as Alex Nunez reports at ConsumerSearch, the lighter engine is tipped to provide a sportier drive than the larger mill it joins.

Grosjean wins at Hungaroring

Romain Grosjean took his fifth GP2 win of the season at the Hungaroring after race-long leader Marcus Ericsson was given a drive-through penalty in the closing stages. Ericsson had led the race from the first lap after jumping front row starters Luiz Razia and Luca Filippi in the race to Turn 1. From there the iSport driver controlled the race while AirAsia driver Razia kept third-placed Grosjean at bay in the opening stint.

Calado fastest as Bacheta crashes

James Calado grabbed top spot in final seconds of the first GP3 free practice session of the weekend at the Hungaroring. The Briton was one of the final cars across the line before the chequered flag, and that meant that his lap was the last of the significant runners. Lewis Williamson and Tom Dillmann had both enjoyed very brief spells at the top, but Calado then put a significant chunk of time between himself and the field with his final lap.

2012 Audi A6 Hybrid Driven: Audi Boards the Hybrid Bandwagon

Audi?s satisfying A6 gets hybridized?and somewhat less satisfying. Does driving a hybrid change a person? We’d rather leave that question unanswered, but driving a hybrid does change your driving style. All of a sudden, even the leadfoots around here shift their attention to the energy flow charts blinking in the instrument cluster, we don’t plot [...]
